On the occasion of Vesak, through the noble contributions of the devoted and virtuous donors of the Bosath Vishwakarma Foundation, a fragrant sacred chamber enshrining the sacred relics of the Supreme Buddha was offered to the Sambuddha Sasana at the blessed Bodhi premises in Rambukkana on 28 May 2026, with the presence of the Most Venerable Galigamuwe Gnanadeepa Thero.

May all who see this sacred meritorious act rejoice with a happy and peaceful heart.

This noble offering was carried out under the guidance and advice of Venerable Akiriyagala Mangala Thero, the Chief Incumbent of Rambukkana Ashoka Bodhirajarama.

It was also carried out according to an idea of Venerable Walalgoda Sumangala Thero, Shasthrapathi, the Viharadhikari of Rambukkana Ashoka Bodhirajarama, and under his supervision.

Mr. Sathyajith from Minuwangoda respectfully created and offered the magnificent Sambuddha statue.

Mrs. Manjula Madhurangi from England and her family provided the financial sponsorship for this sacred Sambuddha statue.

Dr. Lagath Wanigabadu from the United Kingdom sponsored the magnificent casket imported from Thailand to enshrine the sacred relics of the Supreme Buddha, which were donated from Myanmar.

Mr. Noel Weerathunga and Mrs. Chinthi Weerathunga from Nugegoda, representing the Bosath Vishwakarma Foundation, provided the main sponsorship and strength for the construction of the sacred relic chamber.

Mr. L. L. Isanka Thilakarathna, Chairman of Thilaka Group of Companies, together with his family, provided co-sponsorship and support for this meritorious work.

Mr. Jeewaka from Nova Surface offered the Buddha seat.

The noble donors of the Bosath Vishwakarma Foundation, together with the devotees of the four main supporting villages of the temple, also gave their generous support.

The following venerable monks graced the great meritorious occasion of offering the sacred relic chamber to the Sasana:

Venerable Madawala Gnanarathana Thero, Shasthrapathi, Chief Incumbent of the temples in Thismalpola, Gangekumbura and Kossinna, and retired Parivenadhipathi of Diyasunnatha Rajasinghe Pirivena.

Venerable Ilukgoda Rathanasiri Thero, respected Secretary of the Pinnawala Shasanarakshaka Balamandalaya and Chief Incumbent of Kiriwandeniya Purana Viharaya.

Venerable Thaldawe Sujeewa Thero, Shasthrapathi, Viharadhikari of Daluggala Sri Bodhirajarama and Assistant Principal of Rambukkana Parakrama Maha Vidyalaya.

Venerable Kotawelle Sumedha Thero, Viharadhikari of Walalgoda Purana Viharaya and respected Secretary of the Pinnawala Shasanarakshaka Balamandalaya.

Venerable Sarada Thero, Shasthrapathi, Chief Incumbent of Kotagama Purana Viharaya.

The first worship ceremony in the sacred relic chamber, including Sambuddha offerings, was conducted by Venerable Medirigiriye Punnasara Thero, Chief Incumbent of Dewanagala Rajamaha Viharaya.

A special Dhamma sermon was delivered by Venerable Dehiowita Vijithawansha Thero, Shasthrapathi, Viharadhikari of Werawella Sri Bodhimalu Viharaya, Chief Incumbent of Dedugala Gangaweraliya Sri Nikethanaramaya and Assistant Principal of Sir John Kothalawala National School, Kurunegala.

The newly built magnificent sacred relic chamber was offered to the Sasana, and the sacred relic worship was conducted by the Most Venerable Galigamuwe Gnanadeepa Thero.

Special gratitude is also extended to Mr. Rangana Pushpakumara from Rambukkana, who carefully looked into and organized all the work related to offering this Sambuddha Mandiraya to the Sasana, and to all the devoted people who gave their strength and support.

By the power and blessings of this merit, may everyone receive good health, healing, wellbeing and long life.

May all the merit gathered by building a fragrant sacred chamber for the Supreme Buddha become a true cause and support to be free from this harsh, difficult and fearful journey of Samsara.
