Daily Evening Alms Offering for the Maha Sangha

While worshipping the sacred sites of Anuradhapura and cultivating Samatha and Vipassana meditation, the revered Maha Sangha arriving from all directions were respectfully offered the Evening Gilampasa Offering today.

This noble offering was conducted with immense devotion under the sponsorship of the Bosath Vishwakarma Foundation at the premises of Ruwanweliseya.

Offerings Included:

• ☕ Warm herbal drinks and cool refreshments for the evening

• 🍹 Fruit beverages

• 🍽 Evening Gilampasa offering

In front of the sacred Swarnamali Maha Seya (Ruwanweliseya)—where relics of the Fully Enlightened Gautama Buddha enshrined in a sacred measure are venerated—the offering was first made symbolically to the Blessed One with living devotion.

Thereafter, Gilampasa offerings were respectfully served to:

• The noble Maha Sangha who arrived to worship Ruwanweliseya

• Devout Dasasil Mathas

• Lay devotees

May all who witness and rejoice in this meritorious deed share in its blessings!
