Daily Morning Alms Offering for the Maha Sangha

While worshipping the sacred places of Anuradhapura and cultivating serenity and insight meditation, the revered Maha Sangha who arrive from all directions were respectfully offered morning alms today at the Maha Pali Alms Hall, Anuradhapura, without prior invitation.

This meritorious morning almsgiving was conducted with immense honor and devotion under the generous sponsorship of the Bosath Vishwakarma Foundation.

First, the foremost portion of the alms was reverently offered to the Supreme Blessed One. Thereafter, the remaining morning alms were respectfully presented to the noble Maha Sangha at the Maha Pali Alms Hall.

A special contribution of rice for this almsgiving was arranged through the mediation of Venerable Pujyapada Getalawa Vimalarathana Thero, the creator of the “Maha Maithree Day” meritorious program.

Offerings Included:

• 🌾 Morning Meal (Heel Dana)

• 🍎 Fruits Offering

• 🍰 Sweetmeats Offering

May all who witness and rejoice in this meritorious deed share in its blessings!

In addition, kind-hearted benefactors of the Bosath Vishwakarma Foundation contribute daily towards:

• Evening refreshments (Gilampasa)

• Electricity expenses

• Water expenses

• Transportation and medical expenses of the venerable monks

• The four requisites (food, robes, shelter, and medicine)
